This year we are publishing the 40^th Anniversary Edition of A Goal Is A Dream Taken Seriously: The Castle Approach to Career and Life Design. This was first published in 1980. The image above is from the 1986 edition. We are now revising both the image of the castle and the words of the LifeTime Passport that guide you through the process. Some of the towers now have different names and some of the steps you go through are designed differently. 

And yet the basic process is still the same three steps. 

1.     Telling stories about your successes and noticing skills and preferences.

2.     Setting priorities on your skills and your preferences.

3.     Getting information on where to use your top skills and your top preferences. 

As you work through the questions in the LifeTime Passport, you put your answers on sticky notes and stick them in the passport. When you are clear on your priorities for a particular area, you move the sticky note from that page in the passport to the appropriate tower on the Castle Poster.

As you put more stickies on the Castle, you get clearer and clearer about your Serious Dream and you put that in the Castle’s tallest tower.
