Is the postal model you inherited still the model your organisation needs? Five years after the previous volume in this series, the questions facing postal and parcel leaders have shifted from incremental to structural. Across six thematic sections, postal sector thought leaders from five continents examine the structural shifts now reshaping the sector:
· the redefinition of universal service
· the rebuilding of postal architectures
· the operational reality of artificial intelligence and data
· the economics of e-commerce and the last mile
· financial inclusion through postal networks, and the human and operational components of successful transformation.
Exploring New Frontiers – Beyond Disruption to a More Resilient Ecosystem gathers more than twenty perspectives from postal operators, regulators, postal banks, consultancies and academics across five continents. Each chapter closes with questions for thought and discussion designed to be carried into your own boardroom or strategic workshops.
The aim is not to prescribe. The contributors have different perspectives and that is the point. The value lies in seeing the same challenges handled differently – and identifying which approaches deserve a closer look in your own context.
The third in the Exploring New Frontiers series, this edition is intended for postal and parcel CEOs, postal banking leaders, regulators and the partners working alongside them. It is a starting point for the conversations that matter most.
