CHILD'S EYE BOOK AWARDS 2023 : HOW TO ENTER

Send us a completed entry form and your story in a Word document. The story can be as short as you like but it should not be longer than 5,000 words.

If the book is illustrated, please attach the artwork as JPEGs.

The Story
We are looking for stories around the theme of ‘journeys’. This can include real or imagined journeys and can be journeys of the mind rather than physical travel.
Stories can be fiction or non-fiction.
We are looking for well written, imaginative stories that hold the interest of the reader.

For the Winners
Authors of all the short stories included in the book will receive free 5 copies. If the author has been entered by their school, then the school too will receive free copies of the book.
The successful authors will work with a commissioning editor who will take them through the following stages:

  1. Editing – which involves the commissioning editor going through the story’s structure and correcting any errors or inconsistencies.
  2. Proofing, Design & Lay-up to get the story ready for printing.
  3. Going to press the book will be given an ISBN number.
  4. Sales, Marketing & Publicity Journeys will be sent to our distribution agents in the UK, Europe and the USA who will ensure that it appears on Amazon.co.uk as well as link with Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com and many other retail chains in the UK, Europe and the United States.
  5. Copyright of the story is retained by the author.

Deadline date for entries: November 2nd, 2023
Winners to be announced: November 29th, 2023.
